This week, I did the member teleseminar with Holly Sizemore of No More Homeless Pets Utah (utahpets.org). And wow, what a fun and inspiring call it was too! Holly has brought together a lot of groups who often have wildly different ideologies and goals, and yet they are all working together to make great things happen for the animals. A few of the points that she touched on include:

  • Why "pilot project" should become your two new favorite words when you are working to form a coalition.
  • The importance of planning and tracking statistics on everything you do. Numbers that prove your successful track record can have a huge impact when you're trying to recruit people to your cause.
  • How you can take advantage of "cause marketing" and land sponsors. These companies want what you have!

Anyway, as always we recorded the call and it's being edited now. We should have the audio online in the member area of the Web site next week.
